Community activist and state representative The Honorable Melvin King (1928 - ) has been active in the Boston community for over fifty years. He has served as a Massachusetts state representative, conducted a historic run for mayor of Boston, created the Community Fellows Program (CFP) in the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at MIT, and founded several community organizations in Boston, including the South End Technology Center and The New Majority. King was interviewed by The HistoryMakers on 12/8/2005 and 2/6/2006, in Boston, Massachusetts. This collection is comprised of the video footage of the interview.
